Dance Party and Fruit Pops!

8/2/2013

as usual we started this friday with a dance party on the playground, followed by a duel picnic with the primary class! Ms Toni led circle time, while i prepped inside for our cooking project!

Today we made all natural fruit pops! We had a bowl with raspberries, lemons, and blueberries. As each friend sat in the primary room, patiently waiting and reading books, they one by one came to smash the fruit. First they started with raspberries, then lemon, then blueberries, some friends enjoying it, while others barely got their hands wet! Jane, hanks sister and our helper, helped friends get their hands in, then helped scoop the smashed fruit into ice cube trays. We stuck them in the freezer, washed hands, then made our way to our room.

After nap, we had a quick dance party and snack, before heading out to enjoy our fruit pops on this hot, windy afternoon!

Teo talked about what fun he had making popsicles for days; we even had a reprise at home. I love how this activity brought three classes together.
