Faboulous Wednesday

We had a wonderful morning full of running around and climbing. We started with some outside story time with Ms. Lizzie on a blanket. We went in for snack, a brief circle time to sing the alphabet, days of the week, the weather song, and look at pictures of animals who live in the snow (penguins and polar bears are awesome!). Some of our friends finished their winter glitter collages, while every one else busily buzzed around the room. We went out to read the book Woof Woof and talk about different kinds of triangle shapes. Then, we talked about responsibility and taking care of the life in our backyard, and the kids watered the garden with Dom. Every one finds a bucket to hold water and can take the water to the plants of their choice. We had just enough time for some free-play and then went inside for lunch.

After nap, we woke up and had a fun time talking about the responsibility of rolling or folding our nap mats. Paislie growled "I roll it" while Ben was saying "I can do it!" Alanna was saying "I need help!" and getting frustrated, you could tell Ivy just wanted to get it over with, Koichi was very happy to do it, Annabelle offered help to all of her friends, Theo was happy to see how the velcro holds his mat together, Wren was saying "you do it!" but then was happy to say "i roll it" once he felt like doing it, Teo was happy to say "nap mat, roll it" as he did his, Asher easily participated and went on his way. It was a very fun activity which we will be doing every day! There was some time for a bit of free-play, and then Ms. Leona joined us. It was one of those lovely Spanish days where every one was into it and we all had a fun time. We wrapped up, did a clean up, every one tried to get their shoes on by themselves, and we headed outside!

Love,
 Jackie and Dom

Thanks, Nicole!! Teo wanted very much to be like his daddy and wear a hat. I love seeing him in it too....we went to the park later that day and he was holding it on his head as he ran in the breezy weather...so cute!
