Funky Friday!

We started our day later than usual, due to the weather! But everyone who came, was very excited to be there! We explored stations until all of our friends arrived. Ben, Theo, and Wren helped Kenny and I, as we peeled oranges for snack. Ivy and Annabelle brought books from home, so we sat, had a quick circle time, and book reading! Ivy’s book was about a dog named Daisy and her red ball. All my friends were very interested in the book, and asked many questions about where the red ball went. Annabelle’s book was a fun, wintery counting book, with animals from the artic. We practiced our counting before bringing out the Lego table, where friends built different “vehicles” with their Lego blocks. Theo worked on a Boat, while Asher worked on an airplane, while Annabelle worked on building a “school bus”! The time flew by, and it was soon lunchtime! All my friends calmly sat, and enjoyed their lunch before transitioning to nap.

After nap, we woke up and had milk. All my friends have been doing a great job working on rolling up their nap mats once nap is all done! Wren was a great helper, walking around, asking if anyone needed help. Thanks, Wren! We got diapers changed, and made our way to the table for some art/science exploration. WE worked with oil and water, mixing paint in it, and watching the design it makes, acknowledging that water and oil do not mix. Ivy enjoyed dropping the water with paint in it, while Ben enjoyed using the oil mixed with paint. Theo focused hard and loved using the dropper, while Annabelle enjoyed tilting her box different ways, to make different paint marks. It was soon snack time so we did a quick hand wash, and sat for PM snack, oranges, raisins, and cinnamon apple sticks! Once we were all done, we cleaned hands, and started a Yo Gabba Gabba dance party, inviting our newly primary friends, Jasper and Joey over to hang out! We finished out this funky Friday, inside, enjoying the afternoon!

Much Love

Dom and Jackie
