Great Thursday!

We had a wonderful day at the Sprout! The morning was spent trying to keep warm in the cold and breezy weather! We came inside for an early snack of delicious pears. After snack, we had a quick circle time with songs, the weather, and the days of the week! We quickly moved on to our Lamb project, using cotton materials and a picture of a lamb. Every one had a chance to tear apart their cotton and put glue on their paper themselves. Ivy, Alanna, and Teo quickly tore their cotton apart. Alanna accidentally took Ivy’s cotton, as she was so enthusiastic to pile it on. Ivy was sure to use her nice words to ask for more cotton. When Teo put his cotton on the glue, he first put it in one big pile. Asher wanted to use giant chunks of cotton, and was very focused on getting glue on his paper.  Olive was interested in feeling the texture of the cotton. Ancel mostly focused on getting the glue onto the paper, and had to be reminded about the cotton! Noah was smiling as he squeezed the glue out of its squeeze bottle.  Theo asked for many pieces of cotton, but decided to use only a small amount. Paislie very meticulously put her cotton pieces on her lamb. After our project, we headed out for some free-play fun.

After nap, Teo had a chance to finish his beautiful Love painting. We’re all so proud of how beautiful they came out! Once every one was up and ready for snack, we had a lemon sensory experience. Dom and I expected to see lots of funny faces, but were surprised to see how much every one enjoyed tasting and eating the lemons! First we passed them around, smelling both lemons and limes. Dom sliced up a lemon for every one to taste. We asked those who wanted to go first to quietly raise their hand, and Alanna was the first to do so (it was such a close one for all our older guys!). Enjoy the pics! We ended the day and headed outside!
