"Icy" Monday!

Our garden is flourishing, and we spent most of this morning checking on the baby plants, and plants that were getting bigger! Ivy and Paislie noticed some newly sprouted tomatoes, and were excited to point them out.

Before we went outside, we had a quick circle time and read Teo's book, "One Hungry Monster: A Counting Book", which everyone enjoyed! We marched out for some exploration/ sensory time! My toddler friends helped me clean the sensory tub so we could stand it up, and use for our sensory project of the day, ICE! I handed everyone one piece of ice, and asked them "How does it feel?", Teo, Theo, and Alanna all quickly answered, "cold"! We discussed how Ice is made of water, and that it turns to Ice when it is frozen. Our Pretot friends all joined in on the fun, as one big chunk of ice was being passed around. Friends started pointing out that the Ice was melting, and thats when we discussed, that when Ice is left in the sun, it Melts! They enjoyed watching and holding the Ice, and some friends of course wanted a little taste :)

After nap, Ms Abby came in with a big, white bag of goodies! She asked everyone to take a seat, in a circle, and get ready for YOGA! Ms Abby pulled out a FLY puppet, and went around "munching" on my friends, which they absolutely loved! She then had them try and practice "Fly" pose, which Teo was super excited to try with Abby. She had another surprise, the Dinosaur Song! Theo, Ivy, Paislie, Teo, Alanna, and Ancel all followed Abby's footsteps and moves! They found it very fun to walk and crawl like dinosaurs, Asher and Olive observed from the side, but had giant smiles on their face as they watched their friends! We said "Namaste" to Ms Abby and marched outside to enjoy the afternoon!

Much Love
Dom and Jackie
