Painting Macaroni!

We started this Wednesday with one of our most favorite sensory/fine motor activities, Play Dough! Theo made "snakes", Ivy made an "elephant", and Asher made "waffles", using the tactile rolling pin.

More friends arrived, so we started a dance party/ring around the rosy group! Once everyone was all danced out we sat to read Olives book, Poke A Dot: Old MacDonald's Farm! The fun thing about this book was the popping dots, every time someone pointed out an animal, they poked the bubble and it would POP! They each took turns poking the bubbles.

We had a quick snack before sitting to work on some letter "M" art, which was painting Macaroni! Theo, Ivy, Olive, Noah, Ancel, Hunter, Asher, Paislie were excited to get dirty and paint with their paintbrushes and fingers! We sat them in containers to dry, while we went outside and joined the pre tots!

after nap, everyone sat, with their painted noodles and a pipe cleaner. Olive and Ivy quickly slid their noodles on their pipe cleaner, asking for more. Asher, Hunter, and Ancel worked steadily on getting their noodles on, while Noah was putting on and taking off each noodle, excited with every noodle he would add! Ms Jackie took one macaroni from their container and slid it on a piece of yarn to make a necklace. We had a quick snack and marched out to show off our "Macaroni' Jewelry!

Much Love
Dom and Jackie

Ivy loved her macaroni necklace and has been consistently talking about "making marbles" (?), so I know the weeks of M have been a success. Props on the tasty looking tomatoes, you all certainly have a green thumb.
