Picture Day Number 2!

10/2/2012

Our Tuesday started out like any other, moods were happy and the sun was shining bright! Alanna and Paislie spent much of her morning playing Ring Around the Rosie with primary friends, while Asher spent much of his time fully loaded with toys--carrying as many as he could at once, even on his head! Koichi, Theo (and the gloves he wore all day!), Ivy, and Wren spent time chillin' and cuddling with Dom Dom in the sandbox. We started singing Jump Up and Down and every one joined to have a moment in the spotlight! Jasper and Teo spent time playing peekaboo around the big tree, and Joey and Jasper led Alanna, Koichi, Asher, and Teo in game of ready, set, GO, which they've been playing every morning and afternoon! After having some morning fun, Kevin came out to take more pictures of every one! every one was getting lots of tickles and having lots of fun as the teachers did their best to help make every one laugh--yesterday we had Teddy to do strange dances and sing songs with us....today we were all saying "CAKE BALLS!" and "POPSYCLES" to make every one smile. We also sang Zoom Zoom Zoom and a few other favorites! We decided the weather was wayyy to nice to head inside, so we had a picnic on the grassy knoll and ate bananas and grapes! Then, we read the book that Teo brought called TRUCKS. Wren, Ivy, Jasper, and Joey were especially interested in the book, though EVERY ONE loves this book! We counted the trucks and named their colors and talked about what they do! Then we read I Spy with My Little Eye, and counted dolphins, crabs, seahorses, sharks, and other cool sea creatures. Every one was excited to count eight legs on an Octopus! After the books we went inside for lunch and nap!

After nap, we read more books, all by request, and then it was time for a dance party! we danced to Al Green and then Yo Gaba Gaba! We ate, got bug sprayed, and then headed outside! What a fun fun fun day!

I'd say Kevin was not the only one getting good pictures. I love the golden light of Austin in the autumn (did you know all those allergens serve a great purpose for outdoor photography??) and our Sprouts look especially angelic in it! Thanks for another great blog post :)

I agree with Susan -awesome to see the class pics and some adorable individual shots, but we're all a little spoiled by seeing dozens of cute photos on the blog every day! The dance party ones are especially fun today. Jeff and I are still laughing about Ivy's hoarding tendencies, thanks for another great update!
