Roly Polies and Caterpillars!

We started our Wednesday with Leina coming up to our friends, and showing them a few roly polies she and Maya found the day before. Roly polies are definitely our favorite so everyone came over to check them out.  We then all made our way to the hill to have a fun picnic with the pre tot and primary classes!  Once they were all done, everyone broke off  into different spots of the playground. Ivy, Alanna, and Sophie from the pre tot classroom went to the dome climber and asked for help to stand up on the poles. They attracted an audience, Wynn, Theo, Joey, Miya, Genevieve, and Ms Toni all came over to see what they were up to! They first tried to climb by themselves, using their gross motor skills to get them up, but not all the way. Toni and I helped them up; Ivy enjoyed swinging on the dome, then dropping down. Alanna traversed around the dome, and then jumped down. After a few more tries, it was time to go inside for circle time and art/sensory.  Here at Green Sprout we embrace all cultures and their holiday celebrations and so we have included Easter and Passover activities/discussions in our daily schedule, and so today we decorated Easter Eggs. We also included items that start with the letter G, which made this double fun, as we used Green Glitter and Green Ribbon. We cleaned up as it was almost time for lunch and nap!

after nap, we did out usual potty, diapers, and milk! Jackie had laid out long brown butcher paper, which we used to make our "Toddler Tulip Garden"! All my friends came and put their hand prints on the paper, Ivy helped Jackie as she painted the green stems! We had a quick snack, got shoes on and marched outside!

Much Love
Dom and Jackie
