Snuggles and Mud Puddles :)

We started this cloudy Tuesday outside, Theo, Alanna and Jasper swinging on the dome climber, while Joey and Ben drove the bus and truck around the playground. Ivy arrived and hurried to the dome climber, asking her daddy for help to get to the top! Paislie and Teo arrived soon after and greeted the teachers and their friends. Wren was busy with the “digger”, picking up big rocks and moving them to the playground, While Jasper and Theo practiced balancing on the log, counting to 3 and jumping off! Asher and Koichi soon arrived and joined in the fun of rolling cars and trucks up and down the ramp! Once we were all here, we marched in for snack, yummy pear and watermelon! We had circle time, Ms Jackie read the “Little Blue Truck” and everyone had fun naming and making the sounds of each animal. We discussed the day, month, and year, and sang the days of the week. Ms Toni had a great idea, we moved all of the chairs into a line, and everyone sat, we began the wheels on the bus, and everyone loved it! They enjoyed rolling their arms like the wheels, and crying like the babies J We cleaned up and marched back outside. We discovered that some of the flowers had been pulled out by their roots, so we had a lesson on why we want to be gentle with the garden and how we can take care of the plants. Our friends showed so much love to the plants, and helped put them back into the mulch. We then made our way to the garden closest to the school and declared it our Sprout Garden/Sensory garden for anyone and everyone to explore! we played a little in the wet mulch then made our way inside for hand washing and lunch, followed by nap!

After nap, we did our routine, milk, diapers, books and potty! Once we were all clean and done, we made our way to the table for some playdough fun, said goodbye to ms Jackie and hello to Ms Sarah! We worked with orange, green, and dark blue playdough, poking it with popsicle sticks, squares, and using different tools to manipulate it. we worked with it until it was snack time. after snack we attempted to make our way outside for some play time, there were a few sprinkles but our friends enjoyed it! everyone kept saying "it raining, it raining"! We found a dry area under the big tree, in the sandbox! We experienced the sprinkles until it started to rain hard, and we made our way inside! We all came in and dried off then had a dance party! Once everyone was all danced out, we made our way to the tables for some art fun! We used ORANGE crayons, markers, paint, and stamps to decorate our picture of a Pumpkin! While looking at the big pumpkin Arielle brought in. We closed out our day, with half of my friends in the primary room and half in the pre-tot room, everyone enjoying the new scenery

Thanks Jackie Dom Sarah and Toni for yet another awesome day at the Sprout! I love how you made fun activities that reinforced nurturing, of both babies and plants...while reminding some of our friends how they have loved to sing wheels on the bus with Ms. Toni since before they could speak or even sign! Teo loved the soaking he got at school and holding the umbrella on the way to the car...also loved dropping it into the wagon on our walk and saying "I get wet!". He also said "friends get wet" several times on our "get wet walk", clearly recalling his day. What fun to relive the fun day you gave him! :)
