Spring Celebrations!

An awesome start to an awesome Friday! We had dance party outside to yo gabba gabba, then we put on Ivys mix, and got to boogieing! We passed out Easter stickers, which was a big hit! Friends put them on their shirts, arms and gave some to others! We played for a bit longer then marched inside for snack. After snack half of my friends marched back out while ivy, Paislie, and Noah stayed inside to help paint hard boiled eggs! They helped me set up the containers, drop in te tablets and watched as I added vinegar to the cups which began to fizz. I used the small white color to write their names on the egg, then let then each decorate their egg with the color. Paislie first, asked to dye her egg blue, she put it in and watched it change color, they were so excited and wanted to go next! Noah too picked blue and dropped his egg in, gently, and watched as it changed! They were also super excited to see their name once the egg was colored! Ivy who waited patiently, asked for green. She dipped her egg in and watched as it turned green! They all were so excited about their colored eggs, so it was time to bring in 3 more friends to color their eggs! Theo, Asher, and Ancel were my next friends who joined me! They decorated their eggs, and were ready for color! Ancel choose yellow, Asher choose Orange and theo choose green! They focused as their egg rolled around catching color on all the white spots. They placed their eggs in the container for them to dry and went back out so my last 3 friends could paint their eggs, Alanna, olive, and Teo! They were interested in what color their friends chose and were ready to get their dyed! Teo went first, and he chose green! Alanna next, chose blue! And was very happy with her finished project! Olive observed and was finally ready to dye hers, she chose yellow! :) we all washed hands, then got ready for lunch and nap transition!

Thanks for helping get the sprouts into an Easter/Eostre/Passover/spring groove this week. We have been sampling bitter herbs here, enjoyed talking about waiting for a mysterious person named Elijah, and pondered rabbits, eggs, and new growth around here. Teo talked endlessly about his green egg and was so happy to help devil it before dinner :)
