Thumpin' Thursday

We had a fabulous morning! The first thing I noticed was our group of toddlers all pitching in to move a hula hoop! I only caught the tail end of the fun in pics, but it looked like every one who was there at 8:45 a.m. was a participant. Great teamwork, y'all! Teo had great fun digging in the dirt, Alanna was walking around with veggie sticks being followed around by a few friends (mostly Ivy!). Theo joined the dirt fun. Joey had one of our newly donated truck shaped books and was driving it along all the fences. Jasper was hanging around the dome, Wren and Asher climbing into the toy box, and soon Alanna and Ivy found their way to the fun dirt! Toni came outside and initiated a game of chase. Wren, Theo, Alanna, Ivy, Teo, and Jasper all got involved. We went in for some free play at our stations and Alanna, Teo, and Ivy were ready to draw. Koichi, Asher, and Wren took turns driving the truck shaped books, and Joey and Jasper had play-dates in the Primary, so we did not see them the rest of the day, but we heard they had a blast! Paislie found her baby and decided to give her a bath (baby is always in need of a bath!) And then she helped Theo type up some TPS reports in our "office" with the awesome donated keyboard. Koichi calculated some totals on the cash register, while Alanna found different objects to enclose in some tupperwear. After some free-play, we went outside for circle time, and read a book called "Me Too" about a duck and a chick. We lined up for lunch.

After lunch and nap we had an extended cuddle time, and some of our friends sat on potties. Every one got changed and we sat at the table for some playdough time. Koichi made a turtle, Ivy and Paislie made pancakes while Alanna made cupcakes, Teo made "a ball," Asher made a snake, and Theo and Wren made dinosaurs. Every one was very focused on their creation! We cleaned up, washed up, and sat down again for some black beans and cherry tomatoes. Ms. Leona came and sang some of our favorite songs. It was a very calm afternoon after a rambunctious morning, and Ms. Leona commented on how eerie it was, the audience of toddlers watching so quietly (haha!). We got clean, had free-play and dance party, and headed outside to end our day. Fabulous!

Lots of Love,
Jackie and Dom
