Warm and Toasty Tuesday :)

It was cold out, so we started the day inside, exploring play dough, one of our favorites! Jackie was showing off her molding skills by making snails, snakes, and “balloons” with pipe cleaners and balls of play dough, while Teo, Koichi, Paislie, Ivy and Ben worked hard to replicate hers. Alanna, Paislie, and Ben left the table and made their way to the blocks to stack. Ms Toni came in, and greeted everyone which turned into one big hug session, as all of our friends wanted to say hi! Ivy, Teo, Alanna, and Paislie made their way to the table for some quick art, while Koichi, Asher, Ben, built legos, high in the air, just to knock them down! Theo was sitting on the rugs with several books, while Wren drove the helicopter around. We soon made our way to the table for a quick snack, then to the carpet for books and circle time. Teo brought in “Mystery of the Spooky Junkyard”, which everyone was excited to sit and read. We read half, then it was time to wash hands and sit for lunch, the kiddos are quickly mastering the skills of opening and closing their lunch boxes, which they are very excited about! we transitioned into nap with books and snuggles.

After nap, we got diapers on, and sat to finish the rest of Teo’s book, while some of the kiddos enjoyed their milk! After the book, everyone spread out in the room, exploring the newest materials in each of the centers. WE did a quick clean-up, and greeted Ms Abby, when she came in for Yoga. We started with the breathing exercises, then Abby brought out a book, she would ask questions and the kiddos tried to figure out what animal she was talking about, when she showed them the picture, they would then go into a different animal pose, which they all loved! She soon said goodbye, and we all then made our way to the table for PM snack. We washed hands and enjoyed our afternoon inside, having a dance party and toddler room exploration with the pre-tot friends!

Much love

It sounds like yoga is quite the hit! I'm so impressed with all of the toddler poses, Ivy has already surpassed both my Spanish skills and now yoga too. Cool panoramic room photo, I love those shots. Thanks for all of the great updates, they're so fun to read.
