Welcoming a new week, new friends, and a new letter!

Welcoming a new week and new friends, Olive and Noah! We started our day outside, even though the weather was a little rainy and cloudy! Most of my friends were ready to go inside way before our usual time, so we waited by the gate, and took some really cute, fun photos in front of our Green Sprout leaf! We soon marched inside for snack, watermelon! Then we washed hands, and made our way to the carpet for train/track play and circle time! It started to rain a little so we talked about that in our weather song! Ms Toni made a surprise visit, and just in time, she started reading our “This is Rain” book. After the book, we introduced new friends, Noah and Olive, everyone said hi, and were super excited to have them in our room now! Olive showed us her “cookie monster” and “Owl”, and noah waved, shyly, but was happy! Because it was raining, we stayed in after our centers, to work on some Valentine’s Day art. WE cut out different shaped hearts, in different colors, to make “butterflies”, by gluing them together, and decorating them with stickers, strips of paper, and glue! Everyone had a great time exploring all of the materials and uniquely making it theirs. Once everyone was done, we cleaned up for more art.  Ms Jackie drew hearts on butcher paper, and taped them to the table. We squirted white and red paint on it, and had them mix to make pink! Ivy, Paislie, Alanna, and Olive all sat at one table, while Teo, Noah, and Ben were at the other table.
