Welcoming Monday!

It's a great Monday given we just returned from spring break! Ivy Alanna Teo Paislie olive and Noah all joined us today.  So that made for a small class, but we certainly love our small groups as we get more one on one time with each individual sproutlet! But we certainly did miss Theo, Asher Ancel and Koichi! We enjoyed the morning breeze, then as it got a hotter we shed our layers and enjoyed the suns rays. Teo was searching for roly polies and caterpillars while Alanna and Olive dug small holes and filled up sensory tables with sand. Noah quickly grabbed a shovel to join in, while Ivy, feeling artistic, grabbed some chalk and began decorating the play scape. We did a quick clean up then made our way inside for snack. Teo requested the ABCs while we waited patiently for the rest of our friends to get clean and get a bowl. Jackie sang, while I cut snack and everyone sang along! While my friends gobbled up their snack, we talked about the days of the week, and what month we are in. Also what our Letter of the week is: Ff! Noah said all done first and made his way to the sink, Teo soon followed, along with olive, Paislie, and Alanna! Ivy waited at the table til traffic died down and went to wash her hands. We all made our way to the writing center where I found out Letter F book, and we all began to discuss words that start with the letter F! First, we identified Feather! As olive Alanna and Noah tickled with feathers, I brought out our Fish, Snarl! Ivy, Paislie And Teo then made their way to check out the feathers and fish! Everyone took a seat as I read "My letter F Book"! They clearly identified Fire, Four, Frog, and Farmer. And we're also excited to see Flowers, Fire Truck, and Fox! We finished up the book, as Mrs. Jackie passed out construction paper and glue to each sproutlet so they could make and decorate their own Flowers! Noah and Teo loved the texture of the glue stick, while Paislie kept saying "F" and "Four". Ivy and Olive were busy decorating their flowers while Alanna put glue all over her paper. As they laid each petal down, they said all done and we soon made our way outside to join the pre tots and primary friends!

After nap, which went into the 3 o'clock hour for some friends, we got up, Alanna and Paislie sat on the potty, while other friends finished up their milk and made their way to centers. Mr Nick came in to help out with shoes and sunscreen, then Ms Abby made her way in for some Yoga! We soon said our goodbyes to Abby, had a quick, yummy snack, then marched out to explore the warm, but

I know Teo came home today so happy to have spent time with his buddies; he missed his friends! Lots of great pictures, I especially love the ones of Noah peeking out of the playscape...super cute. Great letter F activities! Thanks for another wonderful post.
